Our current real estate tax system is antiquated and without consistency from one township to the next. Constant increases in assessed value has driven many home owners
tax bills through the roof. I will work for equity in the tax system and with the cooperation of state legislators, work to provide a cap on annual assessed values.
Lake County has grown by leaps and bounds with road improvements not keeping up. Solving our traffic problems must be a priority. Routes 83 and 45 need to be widened.
With care for our environmental at the forefront, I will work to make the 120 bypass a reality.
Economic Development and Jobs...
A healthy economy is important to our quality of life in Lake County. Increasing the tax base helps our schools and decreases the tax burden on homeowners. I will make business retention and recruiting a priority.
The education of our children must be a top priority for every elected official. We must find ways to shift the tax burden away from real estate taxes
and find better ways to guarantee every child a quality public education.
I have always been an advocate for the environment and will work towards keeping it healthy and safe. Any plans for the future must include the protection and sustainability of our natural resources.
Quality health care is a right that should be afforded to every American, both young and old. I will work to provide Lake County residents the access they deserve.
